A Birthday Dinner to Remember: How I Taught My Husband a Lesson

I spent weeks planning the perfect birthday dinner for my husband Todd’s 35th birthday. I wanted it to be special, so I went all out – three-layer chocolate cake, rosemary potatoes, spinach-stuffed chicken, and a charcuterie board with exotic cheeses. But little did I know, Todd had other plans.

As the guests were about to arrive, Todd casually mentioned that he was leaving to watch the game with his friends at a bar. I was devastated. All my hard work, down the drain. But I wasn’t going to let him get away with it that easily.

I decided to take matters into my own hands. I packed up the food and drove to the bar, where I set up a feast for everyone to enjoy. The looks on their faces were priceless as I unveiled the spread. Todd’s friends were thrilled, and even the bartender was impressed.

But Todd was not amused. He was embarrassed, and his face turned bright red as he realized what was happening. His family, who had arrived at the bar, was shocked by his behavior, and his mother even scolded him for being disrespectful.

As the night went on, I could see the realization dawn on Todd that he had gone too far. He had taken me for granted, and now he was facing the consequences. I, on the other hand, felt empowered. I had stood up for myself and shown Todd that I wouldn’t be treated like a doormat.

It’s been two weeks since that night, and I can already see a change in Todd’s behavior. He’s been more considerate and helpful, almost as if he’s afraid of facing another embarrassing situation. I’m not sure if he’s truly learned his lesson, but one thing’s for sure – I’ve learned mine. I deserve better, and I won’t settle for anything less.
