“I don’t apologize to anybody,” Kid Rock stated, reiterating his disdain for Oprah Winfrey. The incident in question occurred at his Nashville honky-tonk, where he drunkenly yelled, “F— Oprah Winfrey and f— Joy Behar.”
In the same rant, Kid Rock unintentionally insulted Kathie Lee Gifford, mistaking her for comedian Kathy Griffin. “I was trying to get even with Kathy Griffin for holding Trump’s head,” he explained.
Although he admitted feeling “a little terrible” about the Gifford mishap, citing their longtime friendship, Kid Rock remains unrepentant about his comments on Winfrey and Behar.
This isn’t the first time Kid Rock has sparked controversy. In 2020, his Nashville restaurant, Big Ass Honky Tonk & Rock n’ Roll Steakhouse, defied local COVID-19 restrictions.
Kid Rock and fellow supporter John Daly, a professional golfer, were also accused of flouting mask mandates during the 2020 presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
