Man Who's Traveled 190 Countries Reveals Most 'Annoying' Destination He's Visited

Man Who’s Traveled To 195 Countries Reveals Most ‘Annoying’ Destination He’s Visited

A traveler who has explored all 195 countries has revealed which destination he found the most frustrating to visit.

Luca Pferdmenges has spent years traveling across the globe, documenting his experiences for millions of followers on TikTok.

The German content creator has built an audience of nearly three million people by sharing videos from every country he visits, whether that involves sampling local food, exploring cultural landmarks, or venturing into some of the world’s most dangerous cities.

Beyond his passion for travel, he’s has also achieved four Guinness World Records.

Alongside being the youngest person to visit every country at 23, he became the first person ever to juggle 16 balls alongside a duo partner.

Pferdmenges serves as the head of the World Juggling Federation in Germany and has even taught children how to juggle during trips to countries including Afghanistan and Uganda.

A life spent exploring the world

His opinions on travel have sparked plenty of debate online.

One commenter noted: “His priorities are very different than an adult over 40. He might not appreciate the travel sites the same way he might in the future.”

A second brutally adds: “Imagine how soul-destroyingly dull he must be. I’d avoid him like the plague at a party!”

Meanwhile, another argued: “He started to travel with 15. That’s an average of 27 countries per year. Definitely not enough to be able to make a judgment.”

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Pferdmenges said: “I enjoy my life as a content creator, otherwise I would not do it. I love it. The freedom it gives me is insane and I am very grateful to be able to travel for a living.”

While the United Nations recognizes 195 countries, the total number worldwide varies depending on the source, according to BBC Science Focus.

Alongside creating travel content, Pferdmenges also co-wrote and self-published a travel book titled Billig Reisen.

Travel-focused content continues to thrive on platforms like TikTok and YouTube. One of the most prominent creators in the space is Drew Binsky, who has visited every country in the world and amassed more than 12 million followers and over four billion views across his social media channels.

The overlooked destinations worth visiting

Pferdmenges believes some of the most rewarding travel experiences can be found in places many tourists overlook.

He described Afghanistan as one of the cheapest countries he has visited and highlighted several other destinations that deserve more attention.

He said: “Uzbekistan and some others in Central Asia, Baltic countries, Myanmar, North Macedonia, Bhutan, Montenegro, and most countries in Latin America.

“People usually forget they exist, but they’re often way more exciting and more affordable than the ‘classic tourism destinations.’”

According to Pferdmenges, there are countless hidden gems around the world that remain under the radar. Among the most beautiful countries he has visited, he singled out Bhutan and Myanmar.

When asked about his favorite destinations overall, he struggled to narrow the list down to just one.

Instead, he said: “My favorite places overall – in no particular order: Mexico, Brazil, Israel, Spain, Bhutan, UK, UAE, Portugal, Austria.”

He also praised Mexico for having the best food, while highlighting Israel’s vegan Middle Eastern cuisine. Lebanon’s traditional dishes and Ethiopia’s injera also earned recognition, while he described supermarkets in Germany and the UK as among the best.

On the other hand, he criticized countries such as Haiti, Chad, and several small Pacific islands for offering limited or unhealthy food choices.

Countries he says fall short

Not every destination left a positive impression.

Pferdmenges admitted he has little desire to return to Belgium, describing parts of the country as both unattractive and unsafe.

He said: “It feels super unsafe at night in my opinion, and I’m talking about Brussels here. And many of the Belgian cities are pretty ugly as well. Grey and depressive, especially in winter.”

He also identified Brussels North, along with certain areas of Paris, London, and Frankfurt, as places he considers particularly risky after dark.

Despite visiting 195 countries, Pferdmenges remains committed to reaching his goal of traveling to every country in the world.

The destination he found ‘most annoying’

While Pferdmenges has plenty of favorite places, there is one destination that stands out for all the wrong reasons.

According to the seasoned traveler, Egypt is the most annoying country he has visited.

“Egypt is the most annoying country for tourists in my opinion,” he said.

He also criticized several other destinations that he believes rely too heavily on tourism.

Pferdmenges added: “Egypt, France, Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, most of the Caribbean Lesser Antilles. They’re often very touristy and often don’t have much besides pretty beaches. The Caribbean is super-overrated, the Lesser Antilles, at least.”

As he continues his mission to visit every country on the planet, his outspoken travel opinions are likely to keep generating discussion among fellow travelers.
