I was going about my day, browsing through the shops in the mall, when a young woman approached me.
She greeted me with a loud and cheerful “I haven’t seen you for ages! How are you?” At first, I was taken aback, wondering who this person was and how she knew me. But before I could even respond, she wrapped her arms around me in a warm hug.
As we hugged, she whispered something in my ear that made my heart skip a beat. “I noticed that there are two guys following you, be careful.” I was shocked and grateful at the same time.
This stranger, who I had never met before, had just shown me kindness and concern for my safety. It was a beautiful display of sisterhood and a reminder that there are still good people in the world who care about others.
