Linda Fagan’s Sudden Eviction Sparks Controversy

Linda Fagan, the first woman to lead a military branch as Coast Guard Commandant, was abruptly given three hours to vacate her home following her removal by the Trump administration. Fagan’s dismissal was reportedly tied to allegations that she placed too much emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion programs during her leadership.

Originally, Fagan had been granted a 60-day waiver to find new housing. However, Homeland Security officials intervened, instructing acting Commandant Kevin Lunday to remove her immediately. A source close to the situation revealed that the order came directly from the president, with the message: “The president wants her out of quarters.”

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that Fagan had been terminated “with cause” two weeks earlier and was still living in the admiral’s quarters at the time of her eviction. While officials did not confirm the three-hour timeline, the suddenness of the action has drawn significant attention and raised questions about the circumstances surrounding her removal.
