Erika Kirk Responds To Claims She Has A New Boyfriend 8 Months After Assassination
Erika Kirk has responded to claims that she has a new boyfriend eight months after her husband, Charlie, was assassinated.
Since the death of Charlie Kirk, few political figures have faced as much public scrutiny as his widow, Erika.
The conservative commentator’s assassination in September 2025 shocked supporters across the United States and instantly transformed Erika from a relatively private figure into one of the most closely watched women in conservative politics.
Over the months that followed, she stepped into an increasingly public role, taking over leadership of Turning Point USA, raising the couple’s two young children, and regularly speaking about grief, faith, and life after unimaginable loss.
But with that visibility has come relentless speculation about her personal life.
Now, Erika is speaking out after finding herself at the center of a rumor that spread rapidly across social media.
Life after Charlie Kirk’s death
Charlie Kirk was just 31 years old when he was fatally shot during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University.
His death sent shockwaves through conservative circles, with tributes pouring in from politicians, commentators, and supporters across the country.
In the aftermath of the tragedy, Erika became one of the public faces of the movement her husband built.
Only days after Charlie’s death, she was unanimously selected as CEO and chair of Turning Point USA, taking over the organization he founded as a teenager.
Since then, she has continued appearing at major conservative events while balancing life as a single mother.
She and Charlie shared two children together — a daughter and a son — and Erika has frequently spoken about the challenges of raising them without their father.
In recent interviews, she has opened up about grief in deeply personal terms.
“One day you’re collapsed on the floor crying out the name Jesus in between labored breaths,” she said during one emotional appearance, per the Independent.
“The next you’re playing with your children in the living room.”
She has also shared heartfelt tributes to Charlie online, including a recent anniversary post reflecting on what would have been another year of marriage.
“When I stood at that altar with you, we made a covenant with God,” she wrote. “I’ll tell them of our love story any moment I can.”
Public attention has followed her everywhere
As Erika’s profile has grown, so too has public fascination with her life.
Almost every public appearance now generates discussion online.
Some supporters have praised the way she has continued Charlie’s work while caring for their children.
Others have criticized the level of attention she receives or questioned how she has chosen to navigate life after her husband’s death.
In recent months, social media speculation has surrounded everything from her public appearances to her friendships with prominent conservative figures.
Rumors involving politicians, business leaders, and friends of the Kirk family have repeatedly circulated online, often with little evidence to support them.
Erika has generally avoided responding to most of the speculation.
But one recent claim appears to have crossed a line.

The controversy began when an account called Project Constitution published allegations claiming Erika had been seen with businessman Blake Wynn, the nephew of casino magnate Steve Wynn, People reports.
According to the post, the pair had allegedly been spotted together at the Beverly Hills Hotel earlier this month.
The claims quickly gained traction online, with users sharing screenshots and speculating about Erika’s personal life.
For some supporters, the rumor sparked debate over whether it was appropriate to discuss the widow’s dating life less than a year after Charlie’s death.
Others questioned whether there was any truth to the allegations at all.
The speculation intensified as the post continued spreading across X, formerly Twitter.
But before long, both people involved publicly addressed the claims.
Erika’s response leaves little room for doubt
Erika responded directly to the allegation in a strongly worded statement.
“Every single word here is a lie,” she wrote. “Charlie’s love will last me a lifetime. The Lord is the only one who can ever fill that most painful void.”
She went on to explain where she actually was on the date mentioned in the rumor.
“On May 14th I was home in Arizona celebrating my son’s 2nd birthday,” she said.
Erika also addressed the claim involving Wynn directly.
“Blake (who is about to be engaged to his longtime gf) was a dear friend of my husband’s and I am grateful for his continued support, just like hundreds of others.”
She then criticized those spreading the story.
“Your deranged obsession with me and blatant disregard for any form of truth whatsoever is deeply disturbing and I am praying you get the help you so clearly need,” she wrote. “Brush off the Dorito dust and go touch grass.”
Wynn also publicly denied the allegation.
“Blake Wynn here…. I hate to be the bearer of bad news to the cesspool of bots and X users that spend their entire day making things up under the guise of journalism, but I am not dating Erika Kirk,” he wrote.
A Community Note was later added beneath the original post, stating that both Erika Kirk and Blake Wynn had directly denied the claim.
As of now, there is no evidence supporting the rumor. Instead, both individuals have categorically rejected it.
